“Nazifrei revisted” – Experiences, problems and perspectives of blockade alliances.

Blockade alliances were founded in Germany, and some neighbor countries, around the successful campaign “Dresden Nazifrei” (from 2010 onwards), which are trying to translate the experiences from Dresden to a local practice. They often followed a similar strategy to form a wide political alliance which calls for blockades, based on a consensus of activity. After some years of experiences and successful blockades, in Dresden, Bad Nenndorf, Cottbus, Berlin, Hamburg and a lot more places it is time to account now. What are our experiences here? How can we keep the continuity long term? How can we organize successful blockades in smaller places with only local mobilization? How do we deal with repression and threats by Nazis? From the very beginning there is critics on the concept by some Antifa groups, regarding the political dilution and regarding the political profile of such alliances. We want to discuss such questions together and enable a transfer of experiences from different local alliances.
